Also, when you get to kanji, (probably there now), go ahead and get the "remembering the kanji" books 1 and 2 also.. they are literally the magic ticket to the written language. As in, with the same investment you put into hiragana, you could learn all of the general use kanji in a few months. (And wont forget them, which is ofen the real problem!) HIGHLY recommended books.
