Hysterical — what sells this is not one, but both spelling errors (well, not to mention the punctuation problems).
I was just at Disney World, and “Cinderella” signed my daughter’s autograph book “Your my dream come true.” I guess those princesses don’t spend a whole lot of time learning proper spelling, either.
(Fortunately, I was able to sneak in a terminal e and the appropriate apostrophe. I don’t want my daughter to become disillusioned in her corporate-sponsored princess adoration.)

I’ve developed this really bad habit over the years of correcting grammar mistakes everywhere I see them…I think it must have something to do with having a teacher as a parent. My favorite target used to be the secretary’s emails…they were atrocious, but for some sick reason I always smiled when they came through…probably because I knew there would be lots of fun and giggles correcting the email. I know…bad Sarah.

Oh man, I think I passed the Woodstock exit as I was on 81 this weekend. That would have snapped me right back from “vacation” to “on-duty editor” had I seen it. Luckily, I did not. But I did see a sign rife with bad apostrophe-ness on a bus in Wilkesboro that made me convulse and drool on myself a little.
OK, a lot.

Excellent Photo! I would have had Grammar-Nazi rage and torn the signs off.
$1.85 for regular unleaded? I’m paying about $2.10 to $2.15 for regular.
Hey, Mer, Are you from the Steubenville, OH or Weirton, WV area?

Personally my favorite time to correct grammer mistakes is while I’m reading children’s books to my kids. It’s even more funny considering I was horrible in English. How can they print a book with twenty five words in it and still not catch the errors.
