I feel very lucky that I got to see Black Flag (2.14.86 in Tulsa) before they disbanded, but I would have killed to see them with the Puppets in 1983! If you saw the Minutemen, too, you're my hero. With the Puppets, I can at least claim a tiny bit of history. I saw them, fronted by a green-haired Curt Kirkwood, open for Black Flag at the Stumble Inn in Tucson, circa 1983. I'm still kicking myself for not using a line from the Smiths' "Cemetry Gates" to open the plagiarism chapter.
